Die Servicegruppe "International Research & Relations" der Piratenpartei Deutschland sammelt weltweit Informationen (Research) und Ansprechpartner (Relations) für die politische Arbeit der Piratenpartei. Sie konzentriert sich dabei vor allem auf noch nicht durch Piratenparteien abgedeckte Bereiche, steht aber im engen Kontakt zur Internationalen Koordination der Piratenpartei Deutschland, der Europäischen Piratenpartei (PPEU), den Pirate Parties International (PPI) und den Piraten ohnen Grenzen.
Sie nimmt keinen Einfluss auf die thematische und strukturelle Entwicklung der Piratenpartei(en), sondern dient ausschließlich der Recherche und Vernetzung. Sie arbeitet öffentlich und nachvollziehbar und stellt ihr Wissen jedem zur Verfügung (ausgenommen datenschutzrelevante Daten).

- Ansprechpartner zu finden

Die Servicegruppe kann beauftragt werden um:
- themenspezifische Informationen zu sammeln
- Ansprechpartner zu vermitteln
Sie soll Abgeordnete der Partei, insbesondere im Bundestag und Europaparlament, bei ihrer vielfältigen außen- und europapolitischen Arbeit mit Recherche und Ansprechpartnern unterstützen.

The service group "International Research & Relations" of the Pirate Party of Germany collects information (Research) and contacts (Relations) for the political work of the Pirate Party worldwide.
It mostly concentrates on areas, that are not covered by Pirate Parties already, but it's in close contact to the International Coordination of the Pirate Party of Germany, the European Pirate Party (PPEU), the Pirate Parties International (PPI) and the Pirates without borders.
It doesn't influence the thematic or structural development of the Pirate Party/Parties, but rather serves research and networking only.
It works publicly and comprehensibly and offers its knowledge to everyone (except privacy-relevant data).
Self-initiative
The service group gets active of its own account to:
- collect general information
- establish contacts
Task-initiative
The service group can be assigned to:
- collect topic-specific information
- arrange contacts
It should support the parliamentarians of the party, especially in the Bundestag (German parliament) and European parliament, in their diverse work regarding foreign and European policy with research and contacts.
