Ahoy,

As you may know, the European Commission has opened a public consultation on "Civil enforcement of intellectual property rights: public consultation on the efficiency of proceedings and accessibility of measures" [1, 2, 3]

While we encourage every pirate to answer to this consultation personally, PPI, as an organisation aimed to support the pirate movement, will submit its own response to the consultation. In order to do this more effectively, it is recommended that PPI lists itself in the European transparency register [4].

We, the PPI board, are looking for a volunteer who would be responsible for conducting the following tasks:

  • prepare the answers to the questionnaire according to the interest of PPI and PPI's members
  • collect feedback on proposed answers
  • prepare the registration for the EU transparency register
  • report to the board of PPI about progress.

Ideally you should be:

  • knowledgeable about IPRED and the connected law fields
  • knowledgeable about the Pirate Parties position in those fields
  • proficient in writing in the English language.

The deadline for submitting the answers is March 30th 2013. We are estimating an work effort that comes with this at about 20 to 40 hours.

Please apply at board (at) pp-international.net - we would like to pick a candidate in the board meeting January 8th.
